Verified ReviewerResolved: Beware! - Serious deterioration in less than 2 years
- - Clybourn Walnut Executive Desk shows finish deterioration after 1.5 years.
- - Crate and Barrel says normal wear and tear and won't take responsibility.
I purchased the clybourn walnut executive desk and placed it in my office well away from any direct sunlight, and with blinds on all the windows. Unfortunately within a year and a half, the wood finish has seriously deteriorated, resulting in uneven variations and markings all over the desk.
These unsightly marks ruin the look of the desk. I think its because of the type of finish, or lack thereof on this desk. While beautiful originally, it now looks damaged. Crate and Barrel refused to take any responsibility for this, and responded that this is normal wear and tear.
Very sad to think that a desk like this cannot last even 2 years before wear and tear ruins it. This is not a desk that will last more than a couple of years.

Delay for my order

I did order a tall bar and pretty expensive in store to make a faster delivery. Its been a long time that the status says ETA Mid June.
This is end of June.never got any e- mail or updated mail regarding this order or shipping or delivery status! I am having a surprise party and having 80 people over on July 4th and recently moved to a new place and need this piece. None even told me a possibility of a long delay or what so ever. Any time I called to check they said nothing they can do as it is from a different company.
I could order this from different company but since I was a loyal crate&barrel costumer I did order here and my Fa stage location in southpoin, which I regret if I knew the long delay and not getting an answer and not getting my item on time I would never place this order. Very disappointed at the company and crate&barrel not supporting to make this delivery on time for me and not notifying me from the beginning that this may delay and take for ever to be shipped!

I have held my tongue long enough. The stores we have dealt with from MAY 2024 from Dallas then the delivery to Colorado HAS BEEN UNBELIEVABLY HORRIBLE!!!
We had to custom order a sofa after the original order was the wrong color.
We waited then without a sofa in our house in the mountains for Six months. Then they delivered a partial sofa with a missing piece and could not locate it. Then they had to re-order that sofa. And it was finally delivered I believe in December.
The rug that we ordered at the same time in May, has been promised, then canceled at least six times and the last one being today which has been my tipping point.
The delivery service said that they had it two or three weeks ago. We flew here to Denver to be here over the holidays and accept the rug and then today all of a sudden they cant locate it and theyre telling us they have to re-order the rug.!!!
I dont know where the crack in the system is but this has been unreal and we are completely upset with all of the experience we have had with this order of what $10,000 or more.
I dont remember now its been so long.
Please advise and explain the ridiculous customer service!! This has been anxiety ridden since June !!
If I would have known, this is what we would have to deal with for 9 MONTHS , the bait and switch We couldve ordered from Arhaus or Restoration Hardware or any other furniture place and at least had better customer service and problem-solving techniques.

Awful customer service!!
C&B Has awful customer service. Of the close to 10 people I talked to only one seemed to be able to help and had knowledge Jeremy was the only helpful one. The rest seem incompetent at best
Missed delivery
Terrible customer service.
The delivery team arrived 20 minutes late on a four hours window, buzzed and left within 10 minutes of arriving while I was in the shower. I called the customer service but they wouldnt come back.
